Our own Lagoon 46. She is a captained charter, which means you get Captain James, the boat and the islands, and you provision her the way your group eats. Three queen suites, so nobody draws the short cabin.
A spacious, modern Lagoon 46 out of Manuel Reef, Tortola. She is set up for guests who want the creature comforts and the simple pleasures in the same week, which is why we bought her.
Charters aboard Kerry Lee run six nights as standard, and longer trips are welcome. Captain James can also arrange a fuller service week, fully provisioned and with a charter chef, if you would rather not think about food at all.

James is a native BVIslander. He grew up on the waters of these islands and served for years as dock master of a large Tortola marina.
He has captained, or worked in and around chartering, his entire life. Guests come back talking about the history he gives them at every stop as much as the sailing.
Kerry Lee is captained-only as standard, which keeps the rate down and lets you provision her your way. I help with the grocery list and the ordering, and provisions can be delivered straight to the yacht before you arrive.
If you would rather be cooked for, ask me about adding a charter chef and full provisioning. I will price it alongside the standard week so you can see both.
Kerry Lee is a captained, plus-expenses charter. The rate covers the boat, Captain James, fuel, taxes, water and mooring balls. Guests provision, and James will help you plan it.
Every rate below is for six nights aboard, up to six guests. Longer trips are welcome, just ask.
| Week | Up to 6 guests | Nights | Basis |
|---|---|---|---|
| Standard week | $16,000 | 6 nights | Captained only |
| Christmas week | $17,500 | 6 nights | Captained only |
| New Year week | $19,000 | 6 nights | Captained only |
Rates hold for Summer 2026, Winter 2026/27 and Summer 2027, and include fuel, taxes, water and mooring balls. Provisioning, cruising permits and licences are on the guest side, and gratuity is separate. Rates and availability are subject to confirmation at time of booking.
Captained-only is the good-value way to do the BVI, and most of our guests love it. You eat aboard when you want to and ashore when the beach bar wins, and you stock the boat with what your group likes.
Before you fly in, I go through your list with you and fill the gaps, and provisions are delivered directly to the yacht, so the boat is stocked when you step aboard. If you would rather hand the whole thing over, a charter chef and full provisioning can be arranged. Ask me and I will quote both.
Crew gratuity is the one cost not in the rate above. In the Caribbean it runs 15 to 20 percent of the charter rate, paid directly to the crew at the end of your week, and the amount is always yours to decide based on how the week went. I would rather you see it now than find out at the dock.
May 2026 · family of six“The boat was meticulously clean, with high quality linens and amenities. The itinerary was based on our specific interests. We swam, snorkeled, paddle-boarded and ate our way through the BVI. James gave us a brief history of each stop which made it even more special. Five stars for Kerry Lee.”
Before the trip“Before we left they provided assistance in stocking the boat for the week, reviewing my grocery list and helping me fill the gaps. Once we arrived in Tortola, James was waiting to load us on the boat.”
This is the route I keep coming back to. It is a sample, not a schedule. James builds your week around the weather and your group, so if you would rather sit in one bay for three days, that is a perfectly good week too.
Board at Manuel Reef, stow the provisions, get the safety brief from James, and motor out to a quiet first anchorage for a sunset swim.

Sail to Virgin Gorda’s North Sound, kayak or sunbathe at the Bitter End, and go ashore for cocktails and dinner at Saba Rock.

The Baths first thing, while the boulders and sea pools are still empty, then a beachfront dinner at Coco Maya.

Snorkel The Indians, a drink at the Willy T, and dinner aboard with James’s story of the pirates who gave Norman Island its name.

The sail out to Anegada, then Conch Island, flamingo spotting, and a fresh lobster dinner with the stars overhead.

White Bay on Jost Van Dyke: the Soggy Dollar, Ivan’s Stress-Free Bar, and lunch aboard.

A last sail back to Manuel Reef to close out the week.

I started out as an avid charterer, fell hard enough for this world that we ended up buying a boat of our own, and eventually got licensed so I could do this properly. I have sat on all three sides of it: the guest booking the week, the owner running the boat, and now the consultant putting the two together.
Working with me costs you nothing. The charter price is the same whether you book on your own or have me handle it, so there is no reason not to have someone in your corner. I match you to the right yacht and crew, shape the itinerary around how your group likes to travel, and handle the logistics around it so you are not chasing anyone.
Book a CallFifteen minutes on a call and I can tell you whether Kerry Lee is right for your group and what your dates cost. If she is not the fit, no problem. I have access to hundreds of crewed yachts across the Caribbean and the Mediterranean, and I will show you the full range instead.
Book a Free ConsultationThe more you tell me here, the better the first list I send back. If Kerry Lee is booked for your week I will send you the closest comparable boats rather than leave you with nothing.
