This is where it started for us, and it's still the heart of Just Be Yachting. The British Virgin Islands are made for this kind of yacht charter. Every island is part of the same territory, so there's no customs to deal with between stops, you just pull up anchor and go. The sails between islands are short, the water stays warm and clear year round, and the anchorages and beach bars are built around yacht life, so every single stop feels easy and worth the trip.
If you're worried about seasickness, this is one of the easiest places in the world to start. BVI sailing happens almost entirely in protected water between islands, calm enough that guests who've never sailed before, and were nervous about getting sick, tell me it was the smoothest trip they've ever taken. If you're picturing the "new island every day" version of a private yacht charter, this is it.
This is the route I keep coming back to. No two weeks look exactly the same, since your captain shapes the route around your group and the weather, but this is the week I would book.
Most guests fly into St. Thomas (STT) and take a ferry or private water taxi over to Tortola. You can also fly directly into Tortola (EIS), or connect through San Juan (SJU) on a smaller puddle jumper flight. I'll walk you through the best option once your dates are set.
Late October through late July is the season, and there's no bad time in there. The only gap is hurricane season: most yachts, including ours, come off the water from mid-August through mid-October, so they simply aren't available then.
Tell me what you're working with and I'll pull live BVI availability, or skip the search and I'll send a shortlist myself.
Kerry Lee, our own Lagoon 46, calls the BVI home, and these are the other boats I book here most.

See The HeyseasFor US citizens the USVI is about as easy as travel gets, no passport required, and you land at the same airport most BVI charters start from. St. Thomas, St. John, and St. Croix are right there, and a stop at the floating bar off Christmas Cove is worth building into a day.
I'll be straight with you: the BVI is where my expertise lives. For a full USVI charter I work with a partner I trust completely, and I'm happy to make the introduction so you're still in good hands.
